Espacio Cotidiano. Laboratorio de Proyectos de Arte Contemporáneo de la IBERO Puebla
Institution
Espacio Cotidiano, the Contemporary Art Projects Laboratory, takes its name from the book The Invention of the Everyday Life by the Jesuit Michel de Certeau, and responds to the call to enable practices and spaces that allow us to take control—at least temporarily—of our own life forces and to give voice to the possibilities for self-organization that arise in our immediate contexts.
By drawing on the paramethodologies of artistic research, experimentation, and disciplinary boundary-crossing, Cotidiano serves as an open space for creative and aesthetic possibilities at their intersection with the political sphere.
It began operations in 2024, and since then, it has developed more than 15 artistic research projects, involving artists, curators, researchers, human rights and territory defenders, and experts in design, architecture, and critical thinking who are active on the local, national, and international scenes.
Located on the IBERO Puebla campus in San Andrés Cholula, Espacio Cotidiano is open to the general public and to anyone interested in developing transdisciplinary and undisciplined collaborations with actors from any region who are interested in producing aesthetic devices for critical thinking.
