María Olivera Monroy

She holds a Master's degree in Art and Literary Studies from the Autonomous University of the State of Morelos and a Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing and Literature from Universidad del Claustro de Sor Juana in Mexico City.

Her research interests focus on the production of visual arts criticism and the use of literature in the creation of art texts, with a special emphasis on writing produced by women. She writes for Letras Libres, where she reviews contemporary art exhibitions, and has collaborated with La Tempestad on a series of studio visits with artists.
