Plataforma invites you to El arte de la contemplación, a writing workshop led by Alejandro Jiménez.
El arte de la contemplación is a writing and mediation workshop that takes notions of meditative techniques as a starting point to apply them to artistic analysis. Participants will take a tour of the exhibition Here, Now to develop a three-phase exercise:
1 - Reading: Hermeneutic and iconographic tools to unravel the pieces.
2 - Contemplation: An introspective exercise to identify what we project onto the image and how our personal biases shape meaning.
3 - Writing: An integration moment where, freely (haiku, exquisite corpse, patchwriting), we will translate into words the encounter between the artwork and our individual sensitivity.
Requirements: It is recommended to bring your own notebook and pen for the writing exercise.
