Museo Anahuacalli presents Diego Rivera: Political Passion, a discussion between Armando Ponce and Alberto Hijar Serrano. Moderated by Judith Amador.
This lecture will explore Diego Rivera's work from a political and social perspective, highlighting how his ideological convictions influenced his art and Mexican muralism. Rivera, an active member of the Mexican Communist Party, used his work to express his sympathy for Marxism and his support for the labor and indigenous movements. At the end of the event there will be a cocktail reception and socializing with the speakers.
