Paula García

206 Arte Contemporáneo opens its 2026 exhibition program with a solo show by Mexicali-based artist Paula García, titled En Búsqueda de un fresco [In Search of a Fresco].

In this exhibition, the artist presents a series of two- and three-dimensional paintings in which the home and the body become the protagonists of scenes from everyday life. Her works offer a reflection on the ways we inhabit and explore space. Within these painterly images, the human figure appears recurrently: it is through this figure that different ways of living and emotional states are constructed and reconsidered. The archetype of the house emerges as a second skin that, like a snake, transforms over time.
