206 arte contemporáneo emerged in 2012 in the city of Tijuana as a space dedicated to dialogue, reflection, and the dissemination of contemporary art. Conceived as an open platform for new proposals, the space fosters encounter among artists, audiences, and contemporary practices through the presentation of group and solo exhibitions, as well as workshops and conversations with artists. Its program has primarily focused on making visible and supporting the work of emerging artists from the state of Baja California, encouraging the exchange of ideas, experimentation, and the building of a regional artistic community.
