Huele de noche

Huele de noche

Huele de noche is a group exhibition presented at Casino Local that explores strange atmospheres through the idea of the plant’s vegetal body. The show unfolds around the night as a perceptual state that triggers altered imaginaries, where the landscape splits into dreamlike scenes.Taking the huele de noche plant as its point of departure, the project reflects on what emerges in darkness: mental landscapes that oscillate between the natural and the artificial.

The title refers to night-blooming jasmine, associated with David Lynch, who described the scent of this plant as part of a sensory experience tied to the nocturnal atmosphere of Los Angeles. From this ambiguity, the exhibition proposes Huele de noche both as a natural phenomenon—a plant that releases its fragrance at dusk—and as a sensitive condition capable of activating mental states between reality and fantasy.
