Aurora Pellizzi

Entrelazo brings together a selection of recent works by Aurora Pellizzi that expand her investigation of textiles as a spatial language and a collective practice. Drawing on pre-industrial techniques, everyday materials, and natural pigments, the artist shifts weaving from an intimate scale toward the body, volume, and architecture, while also incorporating gestures associated with aerosol and urban culture.

The exhibition brings together works of different scales, including Gorgona and the series Mojigangas and Plastex, where feminine iconographies, domestic materials, and artisanal processes engage with mythological, carnivalesque, and contemporary imaginaries. Conceived specifically for La Tallera, Entrelazo unfolds through a collaborative process with a collective of skaters from Cuernavaca, incorporating movement and bodily imprint as forms of expanded painting. In resonance with Siqueiros’s experimental legacy, the exhibition activates the space as a field of action where body, material, and architecture intertwine.
