Antonio de la Mora (Acapulco, 1997) presents Place of Crosses, a solo exhibition that explores the ways in which territorial and familial memory is fictionalized, archived, and displaced.
The exhibition is conceived as a display of presence, absence, and projection, embodied in family narratives, found images, and deteriorating materials, understood as bearers of time and wear. Place of Crosses points to the profound contemporary disconnection from that part of the past that is not fully remembered, narrated, or acknowledged, but which continues to shape our present.
