inex.materia | Ataraxia
Arte Abierto presents two audiovisual performances: inex.materia by Maxime Corbeil-Perron (DATUM CUT) and Ataraxia by José Orozco and Valeria Vicente.
FISURA + Arte Abierto present inex.materia, an audiovisual performance exploring ephemerality and obsolescence. Sound and image combine post-digital and analog elements with the aim of transcending the boundaries between the visual and the auditory. Analog video synthesis and stop-motion animations are blended through digital transformations to create an ethereal spectacle that addresses the obsolescence of our bodies and their connection to nature and technology.
FISURA + Arte Abierto present Ataraxia, an audiovisual-sound performance resulting from the collaboration between sound artist José Orozco Mora and audiovisual artist Valeria Vicente. In this piece, both practices converge through the combined use of analog and digital technologies, exploring the intersections between the visual, the sonic, and the performative. Valeria generates visual textures through chemical reactions with inks and various materials, in addition to manipulating closed-circuit video in real time. José, meanwhile, works with modular synthesis and electroacoustic instruments designed and built by himself, creating an immersive experience where image and sound intertwine live.
