Lo dijo con la mano, ¿cierto?

The Centro Cultural de España en México presents Lo dijo con la mano, ¿cierto? Curatorial cycle focused on the performative and expanded uses of the literary in the living arts where performers and dancers question the kinetics of language and its use in multiple relationships with movement.

In the third session, choreographers Coral Montejano and Rosa Villanueva present the piece Is this a duet? Which proposes a kind of game - sometimes absurd, sometimes solemn - between two dancers who write and move in space. It puts the apparent ephemeral nature of movement into dialogue and friction with the apparent permanence of writing.

It is also a historical investigation that asks what dance duets have been like. The idea of the duet as a concept and as a discourse. It is shaking up the preconceived idea that one has about what may or may not happen when two dancers are on stage. It is, above all, a question that opens spaces without finding answers.
