Aldo Chaparro Studio is an independent space which, since 2007, has organized diferent projects through Aparador Cuchilla: a display window for installations that can be viewed from the street, 24 hours and at zero cost. Additionally, several national and international artists have shown their work in Aldo Chaparro Studio's exhibition space.
Aldo Chaparro Studio seeks to promote art from the perspective of the artists, free from economic or institutional commitments, with the intention of democratizing the local scene in very specific ways.
Among the artists who have collaborated are Stefan Brüggemann, Mario García Torres, Alois Kronschlaeger, Miltos Manetas, UBERMORGEN, Monika Bravo, Nora Renaud, Jamian Juliano-Villani, R. Lyon, Andrea Galvani, Enrique Giner, Gwladys Alonzo, Mark Dion, Luis Camnitzer, Pablo Dávila, Ana Montiel, Dana Sherwood and Francesco Pedraglio.
Aldo Chaparro Studio has spaces in Mexico City, Lima, Los Angeles, and Madrid. Similar projects are carried out there, but adapted to the specific needs of each city.
