Acapulco 62 is a space dedicated to contemporary art, which seeks to create encounters between different artistic disciplines and generations. Boris Viskin and Alfonso Mena, creators of the project, are part of a generation of painters who emerged in the eighties and nineties, a time marked by the dispute over the validity of painting. The gallery arose with the goal of relocating the artistic proposal over the medium. It first opened its doors in the calle Acapulco, from which it took its name. Currently the space is located in the Santa María la Ribera neighborhood, just in front of the emblematic Kiosko Morisco. It has books and art catalogs for sale and for consultation. Next to the exhibition room there's a patio space, El Revolcadero, which is great for chatting or enjoying a book with good beer, wine or a coffee.
