    m.s.yániz

    m.s.yániz is a critic and speculative curator. His lines of research lie in the tensions between the economic performance of aesthetics, the circulation of commodities, literary procedures, the libido of capitalism, and narrated experience. He currently serves as Curatorial Coordinator at MUAC.

    He completed a graduate degree in Art History at UNAM-IIE and a specialization in Art and Curatorship at The New Centre for Research and Practice. He has curated exhibitions in various museums, independent spaces, and galleries.

    He published the study of Hector Dorantes' book 95 Theses on Post-Speculative Art in 2024 and translated Mark Fisher's unpublished book Acid Communism, published by Herring Publisher with illustrations by Diana Cantarey in 2020. He contributed to the catalog of the exhibition Todos me amarán, arte de México hoy at Casa de México in Spain. He writes for various magazines such as Onda MX, .333, Nexos, Cubo Blanco, Terremoto Contemporary Art in the Americas, triple Ampersand Journal (&&&), Chiquilla te quiero, Revista Sentimental de Amigas íntimas, Tierra Adentro, among others.
