Yo Studio invites you to the opening of 5years, an exhibition by CrewMaster collective curated by Francisco Benítez. Opens on Wednesday, January 31 and can be visited on February 2 and 3 from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm.

5years is a project developed with the members of the CrewMaster collective, the group formed by Maurilio Rojas, Tony Allen and Sir Ublester, five years after their first convergence. On this occasion, what is proposed by each one takes place from a curatorial alignment that bets on the diverse conditions that define the crises of a present that, from the global, emerges in the social space by entering the urban environment through its exchange processes, constantly redefining and re-standardizing the rhythms of daily life from the factors that shape global hegemonies.

It is through the use of common objects and materials that intervene the established, the ideological imperatives as a perpetual flow of information and the reiterative spectacularity of the catastrophe, that the collective proposes to speculate to what extent cultural resistance, presented as a critical stance regarding the exercise of our vital experience, has been effective.
