soft voice

soft voice

The digital age has witnessed a relaxation of the codes of masculinity that govern historically patriarchal structures: body and language, state and mythology. It is no coincidence that at the end of the last decade the figure of the softboy emerged on the Internet, a young man who shows empathy and assumes a certain degree of physical and emotional vulnerability before the world. Are these signs of a renewed masculinity or the new façade of an immobile institution? soft voice reflects on this through the work -la voz suave- of six artists whose identities make up a spectrum between cis-masculine, gender-queer and fluid gender.
