Sector Reforma presents The map is not the Territory: cartography and a Labor Struggle of the 21st Century, an exhibition by Santino Escatel.

The geographer uncovers the world and in the cartography of our days, there is no true escape.

This exhibition shows the creative processes of this last year during my time in the Geography subdirectorate of the National Institute of Statistics and Geography, INEGI; This is due to the result of a collective labor trial initiated in 2000, which concluded with a ruling in favor. The return to the Institute is now a paradigm of the phenomenology of the revolutionary praxis of this century in which the most updated cartography of Mexico was built.

We have to intensify our historical readings to make the geography of the dark space that we have in our minds, of what we do not yet know, because perhaps it is there, where it is found, that which will set us free in the process of constructing civility. just, or some utopia of resistance that we can propose to reach new stages of self-knowledge.
