Salón Cosa

Art fair

-> Oct 27 2021 – Oct 31 2021

Salón Cosa is more than a contemporary objects art fair: it is a temporary space where the most exceptional objects come together to be exhibited, where collectors can meet to discuss and socialize in an intimate environment.

Salón Cosa is interested in showing exceptional objects and creating a space for reflection around them.

Salón Cosa is multi-faceted: experience and beauty, complexity and contradiction, high with low, business with pleasure, sense and shock, celebration and community-creation.

The common thread of everything is things: collectible artistic objects of design, arts and crafts; unique pieces or limited-edition pieces full of meaning.

For this edition they thought of changing the traditional art fair format. They created a more diverse space, with more risky and original artistic proposals by eliminating rates for participants.

Salón Cosa travels to Guadalajara for its second edition. It will take place from October 27th to October 31st 2021, at the 9th floor of the new Bellwort Hotel, placed at the iconic Edificio Rosales (1967), designed by Julio de la Peña Lomelín, one of the masters of Guadalajara ́s modern architecture. The hotel was carefully restored to show its original and fully splendor. Visitors to Salón Cosa could also discover the marvelous hotel terrace that will open its doors to the public for the first time during the event.

Salón Cosa Guadalajara will be a unique opportunity to discover and celebrate the most interesting and original local artists. Artists participating in this edition of Salón Cosa are from or live and work in Guadalajara: Aldo Álvarez Tosado,l Alejandro García Contreras, Chamula Hecho a Mano, Eduardo Altamirano, Julia y Renata, Leo Marz, Liberal Youth Ministry, Marcelo Suro, Peca, Pop Dots, Renata Petersen, Ricardo Luévanos, Sergio Andrés Barba
