Rooms

Plataforma presents ROOMS, a collective show that reimagines exhibition space by placing temporary structures—rooms constructed from scaffolding—separate from Plataforma's existing architecture. Rather than using neutral white cubes, the artists conceived, negotiated, and constructed these spaces collaboratively, reflecting both their individual and collective processes. Each room functions as both a physical structure and a conceptual gesture, challenging traditional relationships between artist and exhibition space. The use of scaffolding—associated with construction and dismantling—underscores impermanence, adaptability, and the fluid boundaries between creation and collapse. By inhabiting these provisional spaces, the artists navigate the tension between artistic intention and everyday reality, offering the viewer a metaphorical experience that is both layered and open.
