Por fin, algo bueno

Diseño y datos: taller de visualización

During this workshop, participants will create visual narratives based on data, exploring how graphic design and information visualization can transform statistics into meaningful stories. This technique, which uses resources such as charts, diagrams, or maps, has been a key tool for designer Stefan Sagmeister, who for over a decade has created data-based works like those presented in the exhibition Por fin, algo bueno.

Throughout the workshop, participants will use tools such as Flourish, a platform for creating interactive visualizations, and ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence model that enables text generation, analysis, and summarization.

Elizabeth Cuevas is the coordinator of the Data Visualization Specialization at Centro. She has worked for the newspapers Reforma, El Centro, and La Razón de México. For four years, she published the opinion column Primera Plana, dedicated to journalistic design. She has received 18 Awards of Excellence from the Society for News Design, a gold medal from Newspaper Designing, and three silver mentions from the a! Diseño Awards.
