Peggy Espinosa + Impronta

punto línea espacio tiempo

Petra Ediciones and Casa Impronta present punto línea tiempo espacio in the Zapopan Art Museum a show that explores the process of conceptualizing, designing, and creating a book through graphic exercises by the editor-designer of Petra Ediciones, Peggy Espinosa. Usually, the conceptualization that is done from the design and edition of the books (grids, typographical exercises, sketching, corrections) is never explicitly shown in the book. One of the objectives of the exhibition is to leave a trace of these processes. Thus, the pieces that Peggy Espinosa works on for this exhibition aim to open windows towards the book production process, consider its rhythms, spaces, and silences. This staging of the processes tries to exhibit the ways of looking and the hidden languages that we face in the act of reading a book.

Talk on Saturday June 18, 12pm

Participants: Peggy Espinosa de Petra Ediciones, Carlos Armenta y Alexia Halteman de Impronta Casa Editora, Sala Lola Álvarez Bravo del Museo de Arte de Zapopan
