Napoleón Aguilera

Matador T-1000 is Napoleón Aguilera’s first solo exhibition with the gallery, where he explores the idea of the portal as a threshold between symbolic, historical, and spiritual dimensions. Creating a hybrid character that merges the T-1000 from Terminator 2 with bullfighter Juan José Padilla—who sustained over 35 gorings throughout his career—he proposes ritual devices that invite viewers to cross boundaries and reconfigure the course of events. The works, conceived as hybrid altars, weave together technology, myth, and tradition in search of alternate realities.
