Spanish artist JoCa presents Little Miss / Trauma Miss, a solo exhibition at Manifesto.

Curated by Sway Consuelo Gaytán and Carlos Algara, this collection of nine oil paintings examines how child beauty pageants can cause lasting psychological harm.

This marks the first solo exhibition in Galería Manifesto’s Petit Salon, held simultaneously with The Soft Side of the Abyss in the gallery’s main space.

The show features JoCa’s distinctive “glitch” aesthetic applied to traditional oil painting, unfolding in a three-part narrative structure that explores the progression of trauma.

The artist employs visual distortion techniques—faces blur and fragment—to represent the psychological fractures caused by toxic beauty standards.
