(Forgotten) Human Memory

Tiro al Blanco presents (Forgotten) Human Memory, an exhibition by Isa Carrillo, Lorena Ancona & Lisa Gutiérrez.

Isa, Lorena, and Lisa’s approach to materiality lies in the human perception of the intangible. Their artistic practices recover traditions, hidden aspects of the unconscious, and the physical and mental experience of the human being. These vessels of intertwined narratives generate dialogues about being.

This exhibition addresses aspects of physical material- izations to esoteric interpretations of existence. These works revolve around the idea of creating a synthesis, not a simplification, so through them, we can explore processes that reflect memories that reemerge, as well as others that vanish.

By using numerology, textiles, ceramics, and stucco as tools to search the past, in a current comparison, it is that the artists allude not only to memory, but to the possibility of reinterpreting and building a connection between us, different times, people, and beyond. This is how these containers of memories become living objects, which dialogue with the past, present, and future.

The narratives constructed by Isa, Lorena, and Lisa are a journey through the vestiges and echoes of our exis- tence, where the fading of memories becomes a bridge to the mysteries that define us. With their sensitivity, they open the door to remembering traditions and hidden as- pects. These narratives invite us to explore the human experience from the intimate to the collective, within a continuous cycle of rediscovery.
