La Bienal de Escucha (The Listening Biennial), is a project originated independently in Berlin in 2021, Guadalajara being one of the venues for the first meeting and will receive the second edition again, in the Arroniz Building, from August 9 to 11, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Jalisco, through the Directorate of Cultural and Artistic Development and the Headquarters of Music and Sound Art.

This project was born under the direction of the North American artist and researcher Brandon LaBelle and was carried out, in addition to Germany, in India, Turkey, Argentina, Norway and Mexico, where Guadalajara hosted the event at a proposal by Israel Martínez, part of the Council of the Biennial, with the aim of decentralizing the cultural torrent that always flows into the country's capital.
