To benefit the education of the children of fallen police officers, the fourth edition of the Bazar de Gráfica will be held on Saturday, February 1, from 12 to 8pm, an event that brings together 9 workshops and more than 100 contemporary artists with the aim of democratizing art and collecting.
This space invites the public to discover graphics as an artistic expression loaded with historical, social and cultural meaning in Mexico.Graphics in our country has a history linked to social movements and political criticism. An example of this was the Taller de Gráfica Popular, founded in 1937, which used engraving to transmit messages of social justice and support for the struggles of the popular sectors. Later, at times such as the student movement of 1968, graphics became an essential tool for resistance, using posters, engravings and pamphlets as vehicles of protest and collective expression. At the Bazar de Gráfica, attendees will be able to acquire unique pieces, ranging from traditional techniques to more experimental proposals. This event not only celebrates contemporary creation, but also has a charitable purpose: the funds raised will be allocated to the trust for the education of the children of fallen police officers, demonstrating how art can be a platform for social change.
