Ruido, límites y realidades
Gente mal returns with a talk and exhibition by Eduardo Altamirano, where you will delve into the current state of contemporary design in Guadalajara.
Eduardo Altamirano is an independent designer, recently graduated with honors from the Master in Product Design at ECAL, under the direction of Erwan Bouroullec and Camille Blin. Since 2017, he has been actively working in the three-dimensional world under the pseudonym –en la superficie–. His practice explores the tension and friction between mass-produced goods and hyperlocal materiality.
Eduardo has exhibited his work in Italy, China, Switzerland, Sweden, the United States, and Mexico. He has collaborated with both national and international companies such as Decathlon, Horgenglarus, Svenskt Trä, Milli JP, and Álbum Goods, among others; developing limited editions, everyday objects, and furniture.
Ruido, Límites y Realidades is a brief exhibition gathering Eduardo Altamirano’s most recent work: Sonido Material, an exploration of the physical boundaries of sound and its relationship to consumer products.
The show, accompanied by a sound activation, is complemented by a talk in which Eduardo shares his vision of design, the influence of noise and punk in his practice, and his ongoing search to imagine alternative realities through objects.
