Diego A. Vignon

Codeína, Fe y Genealogía is the debut feature by photographer Diego A. Vignon at Juan Soriano Gallery, created as a tool to avoid madness. With more than three thousand two hundred medium-format negatives invested, three years of intense intellectual development, and 45 photographs produced, the work was awarded the Production Prize of the XIX Biennial of Photography of the Center of the Image in 2021 and nominated for the Framework Prize Pesaresi in Savignano, Italy. In this version of the series, twenty-five selected photographs are printed in Platinum/Palladium; technique used in the past by artists belonging to the Pictorialist Movement and by Mexican photographers such as Manuel Álvarez Bravo.
