Cristian Chavira

Los no objetos is presented in La Comitiva, this is an individual project by Cristian Chavira. Likewise, it is the third show of the “Year Two” project, an exhibition cycle of the members of the Produtora de Capital Variable. This is a review of the work around the concept that Cristian Chavira has addressed during the last three years in the production of him, the design.

For Chavira, everyday objects are entities loaded with symbols and values ​​that in one way or another give us guidelines to carry out concrete actions and thereby understand, interact and/or modify our immediate reality; this is the author's main strategy to analyze the history, evolution, and use of a specific object.

Through an object reinterpreted in multiple ways, it is intended to talk about the design itself, the processes and methods, the narratives of the objects, their symbology, and the way in which people relate to each other using them, among other conversations. To think in this way about the different possibilities of the how and why of something.
