Resiliencia (2017) is a project that advocates for the culture of reporting sexual violence and female criminalization in Mexico. For this project I worked with six women who filed a complaint and requested legal and psychological advice at the Justice Center for Women in Jalisco. Six ceramic pieces were commissioned to them for their breaking, as a completion and a symbol of resilience facing the incidents. The pieces were restored using the Japanese Kintsugi technique and prepared with conductive ink, a capacitive sensor system and a horn for interactive operation: when a body approaches five centimeters or less from the piece, it activates the sound of its own break.
