Plataforma, Arte Contemporáneo, is a project led by Nidia Elorriaga, with the vocation of promoting contemporary art in Mexico, focusing mainly on artists from the Pacific Coast, especially from Jalisco. Plataforma emerges as a point of artistic convergence that establishes national and international links. Conceived as an art center, its mission is to facilitate dialogues between artists, both established and emerging, and international guest curators. These exchanges will be shared, amplified and intervened through interactions with the visiting public. At Plataforma, art is seen as a dynamic force that drives personal transformation and social change. The space is structured on three levels, each playing a crucial role in the realization of the project's objectives. On the first level, exhibitions are presented by an international curator during a year-long residency. The second level houses the collection of Marcela Preciado and José Noé Suro, who have actively nurtured their art collection since the early 1990s. The third level houses a residency for emerging artists.
