Lux Perpetua Art Centre once again opens its doors to the diversity and vitality of contemporary art with the fifth edition of its collective exhibition, Summer Exhibition.

This showcase brings together emerging and established artists from local, national, and international contexts. Inspired by the historic tradition of London's Royal Academy of Arts, which has organized an open summer exhibition every year since 1769, Lux Perpetua has adapted this practice to its own context. In 2021, the gallery launched its first open call, creating a space where artists of all backgrounds and career stages could share their work.

The year 2026 marks the fifth time the gallery celebrates this enriching initiative. Through an international open call, proposals were received from artists working across a wide range of disciplines and approaches. Participants submitted between one and three works of any theme and format. The gallery’s curatorial board carefully reviewed and selected the artworks, resulting in an exhibition that features more than 200 pieces created by over 100 participating artists.

This edition of Summer Exhibition presents a journey through painting, printmaking, photography, drawing, sculpture, video, performance, and other contemporary practices, reflecting the plurality of artistic discourses and the richness of perspectives that define contemporary art today.
