Sara Olshansky | Open Studio

The Ant Project is thrilled to present Sara Olshansky's Open Studio, a culmination of her two month residency in the Ant Project's space in Coyoacán CDMX.

Sara Olshansky is an American artist currently based in Louisville, KY. She documents the ways in which the built environment breaks up natural spaces into just pieces of their former selves through heavily layered landscapes.

These paintings challenge linear time and traditional pictorial space.

While in México, Sara will make a series that visualizes a collapse of past, present, and future based on observations from prehispanic archeological sites, infrastructure throughout Ciudad de México, and the natural areas which persevere within it.
