ACERT
ACERT opens its doors with the presentation of the outcomes of the following residencies:
- Rubén Puerto: A Spanish artist whose residency culminated in MUNDOMON, a social project for children that employs artistic and psychological tools to foster creativity, active listening, and emotional development.
- Pablo Merchante: A Spanish artist who developed The Green I Carry Within, a social project created in collaboration with women deprived of liberty at the Santa Martha Acatitla Women's Social Reintegration Center.
ACERT is a contemporary art initiative dedicated to artistic residencies, exhibitions, and educational programs. It was founded with the aim of creating meaningful encounters between artists, communities, collectors, and new audiences, understanding art as a tool capable of opening spaces for dialogue, reflection, and exchange. Its residency program primarily hosts Spanish artists who develop new projects in Mexico, fostering cultural exchange and building connections with the local context. Each residency incorporates a social project conceived jointly by the artist and ACERT, specifically designed for the community involved. Through this approach, ACERT seeks to ensure that the artistic experience extends beyond the production of artworks, generating meaningful relationships between artists and their surroundings.
