This work explores the relationship between humans and insects, focusing on termites and bark beetles, commonly labeled as “pests.” Through frottages and amplified sounds, it investigates the marks these species leave on wood, revealing cycles of decomposition and regeneration essential to ecosystems. These marks, interpreted as material records, challenge human narratives of control and domination over nature.

Inspired by phenomenological and artistic perspectives, the project invites us to reimagine coexistence with other forms of life through collaboration and listening rather than imposition. In this way, termites and beetles emerge not as destroyers but as agents of transformation, reflecting our interdependence with natural cycles.
