Gobernador invites you to Architectural Score, Activation No. 1, an activation of Kara Rooney’s work presented as part of the exhibition Certain Ways of Looking for Certain Narratives, curated by Tania Ragasol.

The event will feature the participation of the artist, Lucía Hinojosa, and Renata Del Riego.

The coming together of the work of these five artists can be understood as a constellational cartography of practices, lines of inquiry, and ways of seeing. It forms a porous field of resonances that brings into view shared research concerns and strategies for engaging with and making sense of the world we inhabit—a reflection on how modes of observation, narration, and thought actively produce worlds.

Marianna Dellekamp, María Ezcurra, Bárbara Foulkes, Blanca González, and Kara Rooney share an interdisciplinary practice centered on the study of everyday objects, re-signifying them as devices for critical and poetic reflection on memory, the passage of time, and our relationship—and responsibility—to our surroundings. Their works articulate perspectives that are at once personal and collective, questioning social constructions of identity and belonging.
