My work stems from the intersection of body, language, and territory. I was born on the border between Tijuana and San Diego, and that geography has shaped my vision: I inhabit cracks, margins, and in-between zones as living places where transition occurs, not as voids. I am interested in the porosity of boundaries—their tension, fragility, and transformative potential. My practice moves between painting, sculpture, and writing as acts of resistance against what is assumed to be static. I explore interstices—physical, emotional, and symbolic—as portals where the visible and the invisible meet, brush against each other, and intermingle. I resist the idea that nothingness exists.
