Arróniz presents the single screening of Searching For Here, an animated film by Nicola López.
Through her work in installation, drawing and printmaking, López describes and reconfigures our contemporary, primarily urban, landscape. Her approach to depicting the environment derives from an interest in urban planning, architecture and anthropology and has been motivated by time spent working in and traveling to different landscapes.
López has received support for her work through a NYFA grant and a Joan Mitchell Foundation grant, among others. Her work has been exhibited in the United States and other international institutions such as MoMA, New York; Los Angeles County Museum of Art, California; Museo Tamayo, Mexico City and the Denver Art Museum. He has also had solo exhibitions at the Chazen Museum of Art in Madison, WI and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City.
