La Perla invites you to the solo exhibition by Marijo Martínez, Bienvenidxs a mis casas.

This exhibition project explores the different "houses" inhabited by the artist following the loss of an ovary due to a hemorrhagic cyst—an experience she symbolically associates with the disappearance of a room in the house of her reproductive system. Through textile pieces, installations, archives, performance, and other media, the exhibition unfolds a reflection on how this event triggered a profound transformation in her identity and in the multiple houses—bodily, cognitive, and communal—that make up her existence. The proposal examines how intimate processes modify the psyche in myriad ways, ultimately awakening new ways of seeing the world.

The intention is to make visible how experiences of loss—particularly in women and people whose bodies undergo transformations—can generate an evolution that goes beyond the event itself, becoming a driving force for reconstruction and expansion.
