Agencia de Arte
In the framework of Tijuana Art Week 2026, Agencia de Arte invites you to the exhibition Manual para acompañarse.
This group exhibition brings together painting, photography and sculpture conceived under a shared material condition: every work fits within the dimensions of a carry-on suitcase. This limit does not function as a physical restriction, but rather as a point of departure for thinking about artistic practices through an economy of means and attention to detail. In other words, a reduction in scale does not imply a reduction in complexity, but a reconfiguration of the aesthetic experience: the works demand a close viewing, encourage slower modes of observation, and establish a more intimate relationship with the viewer.
Artwork that work in a quiet voice, shifting attention towards the subtle, the contained, and the precise. In this context, the pieces can be understood as compressed fragments of the world: affective capsules or personal archives that accompany movement and transit. Objects that, through their portability, not only adapt to motion but incorporate it as part of their meaning. These works do not occupy space; they negotiate it. More than objects, they become companions.
