Luis Arredondo

Taller Nacional presents the first solo exhibition of Luis Arredondo, Exploraciones de lo Cotidiano [Explorations of the Everyday].

The objects that surround us have the power to transform the spaces we inhabit. They accompany us in our daily lives, becoming part of our routines and our memories.

This collection reinterprets the everyday through form, color, and gesture, blurring the boundaries between the utilitarian and the sculptural.

Hand-molded and painted by Luis Arredondo, each piece is created from fragments of wood that seemed to have reached the end of their cycle but find new life here. Carefully reclaimed and worked, the material transforms into volume, texture, and exploration.

Their forms suggest various uses: holding a candle, framing the growth of a plant, cradling a book, or containing seasonal fruit. Rather than imposing a singular function, they integrate into the life of those who inhabit them, resignifying the everyday through interaction and perception.
