Jean Carlo Sandy, Atelier Sandi

KOIK contemporary presents Dialogo sensorial; conversación con Modigliani, Klimt, Basquiat y Picasso that takes us into the world of Jean Carlo Sandy’s artistic, known as Atelier Sandi. The series presented, “Parranda Vallenata”, “Negro”, “Muchedumbre” and “Orgías” which are address a cultural syncretism, that is to say a synthesis of two or more cultural traits of different origin, giving a specific identity to Atelier Sandi. Indeed, any culture being by definition in motion, inscribed in history, and often represented by an artist movement or an artistic style, leads us to this ability that Jean Carlo Sandy has to praise the metamorphic powers of the intercultural imagination. Totally sensory, this exhibition was conceived takes the visitor into the universe that the artist shares between music, sounds, smells, textures, colors through themes of daily life but not trivial.
