Gerrit Frohne-Brinkmann

Gerrit Frohne-Brinkmann (born in 1990 in Germany) studied at the University of Fine Arts, Hamburg. Seeking the intersection between early cultural forms and current popular performance and exhibition formats in the field of entertainment, he is particularly interested in the fringes of the natural and cultural sciences. Most recently, his works were on view at Oldenburger Kunstverein (2022), Kunsthalle Münster (2021), Kunstpalais Erlangen (2019), Kölnischer Kunstverein (2018) and Kestner Gesellschaft Hannover (2017). In 2016, he won the Art Cologne Award for New Positions; in 2017 he received the Follow Fluxus Fellowship from the Nassauischer Kunstverein Wiesbaden. Gerrit Frohne-Brinkmann lives and works in Hamburg and is represented by Galerie Noah Klink, Berlin and 14a, Hamburg. Currently he is on a residency in Mexico City with the kind support of Neue Kunst in Hamburg.
