Lo invisible y sus tramas
Exhibition
-> May 16 – Jan 4
The Museo Amparo presents Lo invisible y sus tramas, exhibition by Fabienne Hess.
The work of Museo Amparo’s staff—usually invisible in the galleries—is now on the walls. Hierarchies are disrupted: works from the Museum’s Collection that have never been shown now stand alongside its most recognized pieces. Images printed on silk blend with the space that holds them, shifting with our breath.
When a net is pulled from a river, it rarely catches only one thing. Here, looking means becoming aware of unruly connections. To appreciate the entire mesh is to redistribute attention. Fabric, the main medium of this exhibition, gives form to the idea: threads collaborate to make a weave, however different they may be from one another.
Project in collaboration with Rafael Ortega Ayala.
