EL ROOM presents the workshop Disparates textiles, led by Valentina Lola Morales.
Disparates textiles is an intensive hands-on workshop focused on the teaching and application of embroidery on tulle and quilting techniques for the creation of a textile collage. This initiative stems from the textile processes developed in my artistic practice and from the desire to share a way of shifting and expanding traditional quilting and embroidery techniques. The ultimate goal of the workshop is to create a quilted textile from fabric scraps, introducing participants to a playful and versatile way of textile reuse.
