Imagofobias y cronofósiles
Exhibition
-> Jul 11 – Oct 4
Opens Jul 11 | 11:00AM
Curated by Daniel Montero, Imagofobias y cronofósiles arrives at Museo Cabañas, a solo exhibition by Daniel Monroy Cuevas with a proposal that invites reflection on the role of images in our daily lives and the way in which the devices that produce them transform our perception of time, space, and reality.
Through installations, video, and expanded cinema, the exhibition brings together a selection of works that engage with cinematic language, editing, and film history, while also questioning the relationship between the viewer, the camera, and the images that shape our way of seeing the world.
Daniel Monroy Cuevas's artistic practice is characterized by an investigation into the mechanisms of cinema and moving images from a critical and self-reflexive perspective. His work has been presented in venues across Mexico and abroad, consolidating a trajectory that explores the boundaries between technology, perception, and visual experience.
