CAM Galería presents the closing of the exhibition Habitáculos by Damián Lescas.

Damián Lescas' work is multi-sensory, imaginative, explosive, and vibrant in color. But, in Habitáculos, as if that were not enough, the master demands a lot from the viewer since he is not an artist who captivates at first sight... he needs a second, third, and more reflexive and deeper glances. The artist claims from he have in front, a particular culture, through which he can decipher the rich intellectual references that give meaning to many of his compositions.

In the objects and paintings in this exhibition, Lescas has erased the barrier between the sacred and the profane, and in this way, the distinction between the human and the divine ceases to be pertinent, since both have been aestheticized, leading the viewer to a state of contemplative of spiritual activity.

In this exhibition curated by Abraham Villavicencio (Chief Curator of the Franz Mayer Museum), CAM Galería presented medium and large format oil paintings, precious wood carvings with gold and silver leaves, and mystical objects.
