    Centro Cultural Plaza Fátima presents this month the Film Cycle: Life is cinema every Tuesday of May at 8pm, curated by Raúl Quintanilla.

    Admission is free and the films are subtitled

    • May 2: Close-up (1990) Abbas Kiarostami. 98 min. Classification: A. Synopsis: In a hybrid between reality and fiction, we are presented with the strange case of Hossain who posed as a film director.
    • May 9: Sherlock, Jr. (1924) and The Cameraman (1928) 45 + 76 min. Classification: A. Synopsis: Two classics by the great Buster Keaton related to cinema, in one he dreams that he enters the movie screen to solve a crime and in the other he becomes a news cameraman to impress a secretary.
    • May 16: Sullivan's Travels (1941) Preston Sturges. 91 min. Rating: A. Synopsis: A successful film director decides to become a drifter and suffer more in life before making his masterpiece.
    • May 23: Hellzapoppin' (1941) H.C. Potter. 84 min. Rating: A. Synopsis: Two vaudeville stars try to sabotage a movie to break up a loving couple, causing chaos and breaking the fourth wall in the process.
    • May 30: Let's Play Hell (2013) Sion Sono. 130 minutes Rating: C. Synopsis: A group of young amateur filmmakers get tangled up with the yakuza but take advantage of the misfortune to make the movie they always dreamed of.
