Alejandra López Yasky

Diderot.Art presents the exhibition Dark Matter/Light Matter by the Mexican-Argentine artist Alejandra López Yasky at El Palmar.

The title of the exhibition refers to the dark matter and light matter of the universe, in which López Yasky presents a selection of unpublished works, mainly collages, that she created from her last artistic residency in Portugal during the summer. 2023; along with other pieces produced in the last 3 years, which build a complex visual fabric in which various realities, work techniques, supports and visual references converge. In this project, López Yasky expands his research around the construction of visual poems that connect the past with the present, the near with the far, the visible and the invisible, creating strange portals where one reality becomes another, inviting us to reflect on how we build our identity and the circumstances we experience.
