Talk between Diana Sedano, Stefanie Weiss and Yvonne Venegas

Lateral invites you to the closing event of Yvonne Venegas’s exhibition Drama Mexicano, featuring a conversation between the artist and theater actresses and directors Stefanie Weiss Santos and Diana Sedano.

Stefanie Weiss Santos is a Mexican-German actress and theater director. Her work spans the stage, acting training, and research into theater as a space for encounter and memory. She has participated in various theater projects in Mexico as an actress, director, and translator. Between 2019 and 2023, she directed La Casa del Teatro A.C., an institution with which she continues to collaborate and whose Board of Directors she currently chairs.

Diana Sedano is an actress, director, and teacher who graduated from La Casa del Teatro. With a career spanning more than twenty years, her work has encompassed theater, film, and contemporary performance art. She has been a member of the Centro Dramático de Michoacán and the Compañía Nacional de Teatro, and has received a grant from FONCA through the Creadores Escénicos program. As a director, she has developed projects such as Tornaviaje, Caída, Mujer, and ¡VIOLENCIA!. Her work has been recognized with various awards, including the Mezcal Award for Best Actress at the Guadalajara International Film Festival and the ACPT and METRO Awards for her work as an actress and director.
